Vote European!

As a European citizen you currently do not have a European vote! You can only vote for your national politicians to go to the European Parliament. 27 national rules determine whom you can vote for and how your vote translates into political action.

Many Europeans want to see positive change in the way that we elect our representation in Brussels. Many feel like they aren’t represented at the European level, that their voice isn’t being heard on the issues that matter to them. The ‘I Vote Europe’ campaign will change that!

Together we can call for change that gives a voice to all Europeans! ‘I vote Europe’ pushes for truly European elections giving you a European vote to create positive change.

This is only the start…

This is only the first step towards changing the way we vote in Europe. For now, we want to raise awareness of the blatant inequalities and outdated electoral rules for the EU elections.

Phase 2 will be the start of our grassroots campaign! Europeans will raise their voice demanding Members of the European Parliament to vote and support truly European elections. Here, we will require your energy and creativity! Phase 3 will build on Phase 2’s momentum and push the campaign across all of Europe’s capitals!

More details to when all these exciting steps start and what you can do to support us will follow soon! For now, sign up to our updates and follow us on our social media channels!

 Our goals

In the EU elections, we have 27 ways to elect 1 Parliament.

EU Citizens from different countries face different voting systems, different thresholds, different voting ages, and different voting laws. How can European elections be fair unless they are equal?

"It is high time that we tackle existing challenges and prepare for future ones by abandoning outdated attitudes and embracing the European dimension of our politics"

— Pascal Durand, MEP, on the need for a single European Election

Together we can ensure electing our E.U. representatives is an equal, fair and unified process.

There is no unified European electoral system. We are one Europe - we should have a single, equal vote. That’s why we hope you’ll join us on the I Vote Europe campaign, so we can guarantee fair and free elections across the E.U.
